Well, the holiday season has past and it was a successful one! Orli loved all her gifts, and loved the wrapping more. ;) Nate and I are now trying to figure out what to do as far as getting back into school this fall. I am going to be getting my degree in nursing and then go on to become a midwife and educate women across the country on birth and motherhood. I am totally stoked! :) Ever since Orli, I have read and researched all I can and I believe I have found my new passion in life. I have only felt like this when talking about horses...and that is saying a lot! Ina May Gaskin is my new hero. She is my new idol and I like to think I picked a good one! Well, I am excited to start this fall.
Nate is still not sure what he wants to do as far as a career, (he really doesn't like school at all but realized that getting a degree is the only way to make enough money to make a good life for his family) so I think he will just take some basics and I am helping him find a nice range of electives so he can try some different things and see what he likes and what he wouldn't mind going into as a career.
Orli is growing up too fast! She has taken to playing sitting up more and is eating more and more food. Sweet potato and peas are her favorite! :) She is getting into everything and we have needed to start closing doors and blocking off places we don't her to get into....not easy when she likes to climb on top of everything that will hold her weight! She is nearing 7 months now and is blossoming beautifully. I am so excited to see what this new year will bring!
I have been looking into meditation and yoga and such to help me get into shape again, both physically and mentally. I am pretty excited! Nate is also starting his own work out routine...we hope that by the end of this year we are healthier than we were last year! We continue to try to eat healthier and I am personally doing my best to stay away from GMO's and other nasty by products by eating more raw and organic foods. I also am trying to make sure Orli eats healthy too. That way she has the best start in life.
This year will hold a lot of milestones for the Ninakoff clan and we are super excited to meet life head on!
